3:33⅓ - Kamasi Washington - South Side V. 2

Kamasi Washington good. Michelle Obama good. It’s all working. I bought this record to have a little more Kamasi in my vinyl collection. I haven’t explored the whole thing and it’s not a “dude you have to listen through in this exact order” type of record but every time I go pecking I find some nice stuff. Sometimes I think saxophonists are great composers and curators because they spend so much time on the bandstand strictly listening, perhaps it gives them some perspective into how to put together the jams in a way where a drummer or a pianist is always thinking about the next chord, the saxophonist can get a bit more big picture.
