3:33⅓ - The One Thing I Want to Ask Christian McBride Tomorrow

Christian McBride is in town and everybody is celebrating. He’s got gigs over at The Dakota and I’ll be interviewing him tomorrow. I’ll ask him the questions you’d think I would ask him and maybe one fun one, but what I really want to ask is: did you play through a Gallien-Krueger MicroBass head with a 2*10 speaker on Cape Cod in the early summer of 1997? Because I needed to buy a bass amp that summer and I was at some music store on the Cape and the sales person said “this was actually the amp Christian McBride used recently when he came through to play a festival”. I simply knew I had to have it, it just seemed really cool to me at the time. I wonder if I was duped or if it really was an amp he played for. I’m going to guess it was 100% real, that’s a weird lie to tell, it’s too specific to be a lie. You know? Anywho, I get to interview Christian McBride and I’m very excited.
