3:33⅓ Leo Nocentelli - Your Song

I hope you’re having a good day. I’ve been deep in podcasts and emotions about fat identity, and all the issues that remove so much dignity from your life when you’re fat. On top of that I have a spectacularly nuanced version of the Mondays. Being in touch with what makes you truly happy also means being right around when you just feel a little off, a little shaken up. And maybe I’m hitting that age where I realize that there are more things I’ll want to do than I’ll have time for. And also realizing that making the special things you want to exist means a lot of work, a lot of extra work. A lot of trying to connect people, a lot of trying to get people to see eye to eye. I got to reconnect with Trivia Mafia, the fantastic company that I started with Chuck Terhark about fifteen years ago. We had our holiday party on Saturday. . .now I don’t do anything for the company anymore besides for own 1/2 of it, but do you think I’m going to miss a gathering for the company I started? Shit no. It was a joy. And to see these people who came from all over the metro (and one flew from Colorado) who work for Trivia Mafia, to come together and celebrate. It’s amazing, it’s inspiring. Now I can’t have the same pride in the company I once did now that I don’t get my hands dirty with operations for Trivia Mafia. I have pride, but I am not putting sweat into taking the company to the next level. But to see what is thriving from something Chuck and I started up when we were 20 somethings is pretty amazing. So many emotions. Anywhoo, I played Leo Nocentelli today on Jazz88.
