3:33⅓ - Gene Harris Five/Four

The Gene Harris got bad once he went electric slander needs to stop. Gene Harris delivered jams throughout his storied career. I agree that he might’ve hit his peak when he was getting funky primarily on a Steinway, but I pull great things from most of his eras. Also, when he went back to the piano to support Ray Brown. . .he could still bring it. The 70s were a beautiful funky time I’d like to understand more and a record like this works for me, in doses. Including this dose, a great serving of 5/4 fusion fancifulness.
